Can you pluck out your underarm hair using tweezers?

Basically has anyone tried it. I have medium brown hair but always get a dark shadow, I want to be able to wear a bikini and feel confident.

I might consider waxing but I only have my eyebrows waxed (it hurts) and you have to let the hair grow out and if I do it myself I'm scared of pulling off the skin.

Do depiletory creams really work? Do they reduce a shadow at all?

Thanks for any help. Personal experience of plucking would also help.

I would suggeset regular shaving for underarms.

Yes, delapitory creams really do work! I use Nair on my bikini line, and it's great.

Underarm hair is, of course, pubic hair, so it grows back fast. Plucking it would hurt like hell, since the hairs are so thick. I would just shave it about 2-3 times a day.

Dipilatory creams do indeed work wonderfully, and with much less irritation than shaving.

Just to make sure that there's no reaction to the sun, test the product on a small area first, if it's fine, then use it a day before you go in the sun, so the skin won't be too sensitive.

This is much longer lasting than shaving, and not painful, especially compared to shaving. Ouch!

Nair and Neet are two good brands, as is Sally Hansen.

Since shaving leaves a shadow, you most likely have thick hair like me. And that means very painful plucking, whether you do it all at once by waxing, or hair by hair with tweezers. Your best option is to just keep shaving with a razor, and be sure you use a straight edge blade and not an electric shaver, as doing it the old fashioned way gives you the closest shave. If you are going out (not swimming) you can use powder under your arms to lighten the shadow, but don't use powder if you plan on wearing dark clothing. Another option would be electrolisis, which is very expensive.

What you have to do is try out different methods and see which one works for you. We all have different skin types as far as being allergic or being able to tolerate different products. So just try it and see which works for you. Its one reason there are somany different techniques out there... Good luck
